Rehau Heritage Vertical Sliding Sash Window
Following in the footsteps of the Rehau Vertical Slider, which we have been manufacturing for six years, we are delighted to offer the Rehau Heritage MKII system.
The system combines the benefits of modern PVCu technology, such as greater security, better thermal efficiency and low maintenance, with the quality you expect from Rehau - Europe's leading PVCu manufacturer.
Features
- Made in Scotland, the system offers great value and is the best quality and most practical replacement sash window on the market.
- Traditional design details and sight-lines of a timber box sash window with all the benefits of PVCu.
- Triple chambered profiles ensure good thermal insulation - achieves a BFRC “B” rating.
Key Components
- Two sliding sashes are housed in an outer frame. As the frame is recessed, we use a top sash section that is narrower than the bottom, with an equal glass width balancing the two. We normally manufacture a 50/50 height split or can offer a 40/60 or other split as required.
- A deep bottom rail to the lower sash which replicates original sash windows.
- Equal sashes and a deep bottom rail that entail using three different PVCu profiles as opposed to just one used for standard windows.
- Steel reinforced PVCu to ensure the sashes operate efficiently when carrying heavy glass units.
- Top quality Caldwell-made pre-tensioned spirals (ultralift), and double spring and spirals (torso) on larger windows, tested to exceed 20,000 cycles - equivalent to opening twice a day for 25 years.
- Fabricated in accordance with relevant weather and security test standards. Weather test standard BS6375
Security test standard BS7950
Dimensions and Cills
- Mechanically joined cill, 148mm deep as standard.
- 225mm deep cill is available for a small extra charge.
Profile
- 137mm deep back to front.
Overall profile width
- 43mm internally and 66mm externally, much of which can be hidden behind the ingo.
Options
- Georgian bars for traditional styling. White plastic insert between double glazed panes give a classic look. For great her authenticity, bars can be surface-mounted and dummy spacers placed inside to suggest separate panes.
- Locking catches - white sash locks with cylinders are fitted as standard. Gold or chrome latches are available.
- Limit restrictors prevent windows being opened more than 100mm and are a sensible option of upper floors, bedrooms or rooms used by young children.
- Tilt latch buttons allow the sashes to tilt inwards for cleaning, and are fitted in white as standard. Gold or chrome is available.
- Trickle vents enable constant ventilation and may be compulsory. Please discuss your requirements with us and check local regulations.
- Pole ring is an optional extra mounted on the top sash, enabling the top sash to be lowered by a pole.
- For safety, we fit tilt restrictors to both sashes for a secure hold when tilting inwards for cleaning. Where windows are extremely large and therefore heavy, the top sash should not be tilted inwards.
- Horns can be fitted as an optional decorative extra, applied below the top sash for a traditional look.
- Handles are available in white, gold and chrome. hook sash lifts are supplied as standard to retain an authentic look.
